Help inform the need for culturally-responsive mental health services for people impacted by the justice system

Today at the Community Assessment and Services Center (CASC) the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) will be presenting ways to increase mental health awareness, promote access to prevention and early intervention services, and improve treatment, wellness, and recovery programs. Feedback is crucial to ensuring the MHSA programs meet community mental health needs. Refreshments will be served.

Talking with Kids About Race: Reading Between the Lines

Parents and their children, educators, and caregivers are invited for an afternoon of storytelling, story learning, story creating, as well as story evaluating… especially when stories don’t align with our values. In this interactive event, we will explore how stories can lead us into critical conversations about race and justice and share practices for being more concrete about what racism is, how it works, and how we can stop it. This event will be held in the Koret Auditorium at the SF Main Library. Register for the event, as well as childcare, here.
