The following is an overview of all of the TrainGreenSF Sector Academy Training Tracks. Please carefully review each of the program descriptions for eligibility requirements, training dates, and how to apply.

Fall 2010 Energy Efficiency Skills Enhancement Training
Training Dates:  10/19/10-12/3/10; 20 hour week
The CCSF Energy Efficiency Skills Enhancement training program prepares students for jobs in the energy efficiency and auditing industry.  The program covers energy efficiency concepts, auditing principles and techniques, and weatherization skills for students with a demonstrated construction experience.

Eligibility Requirements:
· San Francisco resident
· Age 18 or older
· Ability to speak and understand conversational English
· 10th grade math and English level
· Demonstrated construction experience or completion of construction training program

Fall 2010 Administrative Assistant/Back Office Training
Training Dates: 10/19/10-12/17/10; 35 hour week
The CCSF training program prepares students for administrative assistant positions within solar, energy efficiency and green companies. Skills covered will include: customer service, keyboarding, Microsoft Office and Excel, business English, and more. Students will receive workplace simulation practice and introduction to green industries.

Eligibility Requirements:
· San Francisco resident
· Age 18 or older
· Ability to speak and understand conversational English
· 9th grade math and English level

Fall 2010 Recycling and Resource Recovery Training
Training Dates: 9/20/2010-10/29/10; 20 hour week
The SF Clean City Recycling and Resource Recovery Training curriculum aims to provide environmental literacy and vocational skills training through classroom, active practice, and field trip settings in the waste reduction, recycling, reuse, and recovery fields, in preparation for applying for and working in a related green collar job.

Eligibility Requirements:
· San Francisco resident
· Age 18 or older
· Ability to speak and understand conversational English
· 8th grade math and English level
· Ability to lift 20 pounds
· Ability to walk continuously for up to two hours

Fall 2010 Transportation Training
Open enrollment class, 10-12 weeks long; 20 hour week
The Goodwill Transportation Training prepares students for commercial driver’s license (CDL A) with passenger endorsement. The training is a combination of classroom lecture covering customer service, industry standards, Department of Transportation regulations, and safety protocols along with environmentally efficient driving and vehicle maintenance practices. Students receive hands-on training using a state of the art driving simulator and behind the wheel driving instruction. Students are accompanied by the instructor to the commercial driving test.

Eligibility Requirements:
· San Francisco resident
· Age 22 or older
· Ability to speak and understand conversational English
· 7th grade math and English level
· Class C license with clean DMV record
· Ability to pass DOT drug test and physicalTrainGreenSF Flier-1

Join us for the Annual Health Fair and Backpack giveaway at Ella Hutch Community Center.

Youth must be present to receive a backpack.

Participation in the resource fair required in order to select backpack. This event is to promote the academic and physical well being of children and youth.
