Bike to Work Day

Thursday, May 9th, 2019 is bike to work day. Join tens of thousands of San Franciscans by pedaling to work on the biggest biking day of the year! Take the pledge to join us on Bike to Work Day and you’ll be entered in a drawing to win one of three Levi’s Commuter X smart jackets (a $350 value!).

Techbridge Girls Showcase

TechBridge Girls, is a non-profit S.T.E.M. organization focused on empowering girls to pursue interests in tech and the sciences. Their annual Community Impact Showcase is coming up at the Oakland Coliseum! Take the family to see all the awesome experiments the Techbridge Girls have been working on all year! Each ticket purchased not only benefits this awesome organization, but it also gets you a pass to the Oakland A’s game following the event! This is a super fun showcase that promises to inspire young scientists of the future!

This event will be on Friday, April 19th from 4 pm – 7 pm, EastSide Club at the Oakland Coliseum.

Children with Disabilities Resource Fair

This is a free conference for families with children with disabilities, the professionals who work with them and members of the community. Join us at John O’Connell High School, 2355 Folsom Street for great workshops, networking opportunities, and resources! Breakfast, lunch and limited childcare will be provided.

SFUSD Nutrition Poster Contest

San Francisco Youth are invited to create a new poster design based on the theme “What does healthy food mean to you?” for our city nutrition programs. Winning artists will have their artwork posted across San Francisco and win a gift card! Winners will be selected from two grade categories: Middle School and High School. Contest deadline is Friday, April 12, 2019.

Reading Between the Lines

Tomorrow at the San Francisco main library from 2 pm – 5 pm kindly invite parents and their children, educator, and caregiver for an afternoon of storytelling, story learning, story creating, as well as story evaluating… especially when stories don’t align with our values. In this interactive event, we will explore how stories can lead us into critical conversations about race and justice and share practices for being more concrete about what racism is, how it works, and how we can stop it.

Egg Hunt

Easter is fast approaching and there will be 2 egg hunt event in the neighborhood. The first one will be this Saturday, April, 6th from 11 am – 2 pm at the Hamilton Rec Center. The 2nd egg hunt will be at the following Saturday, April, 13th from 12 pm – 2 pm. Bring the family to have fun and most importantly is to have some fun.
