A Training Exploring What We Can do as Behavioral Health
Practitioners to Build Health Equity
This training will provide an overview of the concepts and principles of the Enhanced National Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards and enable participants to meaningfully incorporate these critical components into their work.
With a specific focus on African American adults, and Transitional-Age Youth (TAY), this training will help participants address some of the common misconceptions about culture, and take a close look at how personal and organizational culture can drive our interactions with beneficiaries, and impact their treatment outcomes.
Participants in this training will gain an understanding of the National CLAS Standards, and learn research-based approaches to building personal and organizational cultural competency.
