The California Academy of Sciences is currently recruiting youth for our Careers in Science and TASC Force programs. We would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word and promoting these opportunities for young people throughout the Bay Area.
In particular, we’re looking for applicants for the Careers in Science (CiS) internship program. CiS is a multi-year, year-round science education and youth development program for underrepresented youth. It’s also a paid job that helps support STEM career exploration and the college admissions process.
Ideal candidates are currently in 9th or 10th grade, live in San Francisco, and attend an SFUSD school. Youth who demonstrate a “spark” for science, but not necessarily a predetermined path, are particularly well suited for the program. We hope to serve as the critical difference in our youth’s choice or opportunity to pursue a STEM career and/or education.
I’ve attached a flyer with additional information. Please let us know if you would like hard copies.
Youth can apply HERE; the application deadline is April 2, 2017
