An alliance of campus organizations is organizing a Know Your Rights Fair, an informational and training fair for vulnerable populations who may be feeling targeted in the new political climate in the country since the presidential election.
When: Tuesday, February 28th from 12noon to 5:00pm
Where: Jack Adams Hall – Terrace Level of the César Chávez Student Center, San Francisco State University.
There will be a wide range of non-profit human rights and social action groups as well as student groups. Together, we will attempt to inform our students, faculty, staff and the public about potential threats to their rights given the new political reality.
Many people on campus are very concerned about the political and social impact of rhetoric and laws that target women, LGBTQI/gender non-conforming persons, undocumented immigrants and their families, Arabs and Muslims, and communities of color in general.
Our goal is to inform the public about our rights and how we can defend ourselves and become involved in the resistance movement.
