Dear Community:

The San Francisco Human Rights Commission (HRC) and Collective Impact’s-Community Safety Initiative (CSI), in collaboration with the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Violence Prevention Services, the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD), the San Francisco Police Commission and the Office of Citizen Complaints (OCC), invites you to a community input session on the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Assessment of the SFPD. The forum will allow for community members to provide input on the findings and recommendations and ensures that community voices are present throughout the implementation phase.  It will be facilitated by CSI leaders and will include breakout sessions for the five major areas covered by the DOJ’s assessment: Use of Force, Bias, Community Policing Practices, Accountability, and Recruitment/Hiring.

The forum will be hosted on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the University of San Francisco, McClaren Conference Center, which is located at 2130 Fulton Street from 4:30-7PMIf you or your students are planning on attending, please RSVP using the EventBrite link. The HRC Facebook invite can be located here.
