San Francisco Women Against Rape invites you to the SIXTEENTH ARTISTS AGAINST RAPE; a night of healing and transformation that features local poets, artists, and activists speaking out against sexual violence.
A unique and supportive space for expression and community building, the event envisions building an anti-violence movement that prioritizes survivors, people of color, people with disabilities, immigrants, low-income and incarcerated individuals, transitionally housed women, queer women of color, youth and others who have been marginalized or silenced.
This year, we are excited to showcase the artwork of women with disabilities whose work emphasize the connections between disability, sexual violence and social issues.

STILL ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS for ARTISTS AGAINST RAPE:
We are still seeking submissions of poetry, flows, music, song, film, theater, performance art, visual art and dance.
This year we are especially seeking work by women with disabilities that make connections between disability, sexual violence, and social issues such as: Healthcare, medicalization, gentrification, labor, immigration, police brutality, education, criminalization, incarceration, systems of oppression (e.g. white supremacy, capitalism, imperialism, heterosexism, transphobia, patriarchy).
All work must be related to healing from and/or speaking out against sexual violence and gender oppression. We seek artwork that envisions a new culture for survivors of violence and oppression.
Visit www.sfwar.org/aar for more information on how to submit.
