Inspired by the Hunger Strikers in SF, a group of students and faculty have created the UCSF Do No Harm Coalition.

On Monday, May 23rd, the Coalition will sponsor Dr Rupa Marya’s lecture, “Race, Police Violence, and Public Health.”  It is followed by a panel discussion with the hunger strikers, the students who helped them, and SFPD officer Yulinda Williams who is president of the black officers group Officers for Justice.

This event is open to the public and meant to be the beginning of a dialogue between healthcare providers, city officials, legal representatives, police officers and the community.  Feel free to share this invitation.  If you are working with any pre-meds, medical students or residents, they can contact me for more info.  Thanks, Gina
