Dear Community Partners,
The Northern California Outreach & Admissions team invites you to the 2014 Workforce Investment Act Awareness Day on Tuesday October 21, 2014 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Treasure Island Job Corps Center, 351 H Avenue San Francisco, CA. Job Corps is the nation’s oldest and largest federally funded career skills training and education program for economically disadvantaged youth ages 16 through 24. Established in 1964, Job Corps has trained and educated more than 2 million young people, serving approximately 60,000 young adults each year.
We are reaching out to local community partners to provide an opportunity to network, connect and collaborate with agencies that serve the youth population. As a residential Job training program, we offer a variety of career trades, temporary housing and employment placement assistance for youth which will better prepare them for todays competitive job market.
We hope you will join us for this resource sharing and informative event. Feel free to contact me directly for any additional questions regarding the event. “Together we can improve the quality of life for the youth in our community.”
To confirm your participation, please RSVP no later than October 14, 2014.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Deon D. Price
Sr. Outreach & Admissions Counselor
