SF WAR is still seeking artwork for our 15th Artists Against Rape! Artists Against Rape is a community event that inspires healing and transformation through the arts. This year’s event on October 24th is focusing on marginally housed and homeless survivor experiences. Please help by sharing this announcement. We’ve extended our submission period, so artists’ submissions are now due September 19, 2014.

This year we are especially seeking work by homeless/marginally housed women and/or work that makes connections between homelessness, sexual violence, and social issues such as:

Healthcare and Disability

Housing and Shelter

Gentrification and Eviction

Police and Incarceration

Income and Work

Sexual Abuse

Criminalization of People of Color

Criminalization of Loitering

All work must be related to healing from and/or speaking out against sexual violence, and gender and/or sexual oppression.

We are also looking for pieces that envision a new culture of safety for survivors of oppression.

Please see the attached updated Call For Submissions and Application to accompany submissions.
