On Friday, May 9, 2014, the Partnership for Children and Youth (PCY) is looking forward to hosting our 2014 Summer Matters Conference and we invite your participation as a presenter. If you are interested in presenting at the conference, please submit the Request for Proposal (RFP) found here: https://pcy.wufoo.com/forms/2014-summer-matters-program-staff-conference-rfp/.
The conference will be held at Preservation Park and the First Unitarian Church in Oakland, from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm. It is designed for front-line staff, teachers, and site coordinators, with the goal of proving practical training and tools to help summer learning programs create a summer culture that is inclusive, youth-focused, and fun. The conference has a ‘Star Wars’ theme and we are seeking workshops that are engaging, hands-on, and active.
If you are able to conduct a workshop at the 2014 Summer Matters Conference, please submit your proposal by 5:00 pm on Monday, April 14, 2014. Proposals will be reviewed and selected by PCY based on the guidelines and goals described in the RFP. Presenters will be notified no later than Friday, April 25, 2014 regarding their selection status. If your proposal is selected, you may be asked to submit a PCY service contract, resume, and W9 to confirm your slot as a presenter.
