Hello Youth Advocate,


Help young adults jumpstart their 2014: tell them to sign up for RAMP with the San Francisco Conservation Corps and start a career in the building trades!


The San Francisco Conservation Corps is offering a free job readiness and training program for young adults 18-24 years old and who are interested in a career path within the building trades professions (e.g. electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet metal, solar panel installation, roofing, tiling, drywall, and more).

As a participant of the RAMP-SF Academy at the San Francisco Conservation Corps, young adults will receive:
*A weekly grant of $100 for their participation- a potential total of $1,200!
*Support paying some of their existing fines and/or fees
*Help obtaining their GED or high school diploma from our onsite charter school
*A free eye exam and a free pair of eyeglasses
*Support obtaining their California Driver’s License and free behind-the-wheel driving lessons

*Free Solar Panel Installation, CPR & First Aid, Confined Space, OSHA-10 and Traffic & Flagging instruction and certifications from the General Laborers’ Union-Local 261
*Daily one-on-one support from our program Coach to help establish their career goals and with their individual needs
*Direct support entering the General Laborers’ Union, obtaining employment and being connected to educational services!

To apply, young adults just need to attend a RAMP-SF Academy SFCC Get-Together. Below are upcoming Get-Togethers:
