I am contacting you because there is this FANTASTIC opportunity for San Francisco children and youth to get a free tour of the famous, historic Rainbow Warrior Greenpeace flagship.
Is this something you could let the Mo Magic youth programs know about – maybe they could arrange to get a group of youth on board?  Please forward to any other youth programs you know of who could be interested in this.
If your school or youth group is interested in scheduling a tour or want to find out more please contact Lisa Ramsden directly on
A brief outline of the tour:
  • K-12 groups as well as college students and kids in youth employment programs all welcome
  • Ideal group size 20 people
  • Tour will take 30 MINUTES and be led by a Greenpeace staff member, and include:
    • a tour of the unique ship
    • opportunities to meet international crew members to find out what it is like to live/work on a Greenpeace ship
    • a briefing of Greenpeace’s 40+ year history, other ships, campaigns, etc.
    • access to an ‘artivist’ exhibit of artwork by artists working on climate change
    • a briefing by one of Greenpeace’s leading Forest Campaigners on their current FORESTS campaign
    • as well as opportunities before or after the tour to talk to staff, international crew members, volunteers, etc.
The Rainbow Warrior will be in SF from Friday, Nov. 8th – Tuesday, Nov. 19th:

This is a great opportunity to engage and educate young people in the environmental debate and issues facing our nation and the world.
I hope you and your staff are able to help as many young people access this opportunity as possible.
