Hello present and former fans of Rebuilding Together San Francisco!

Valerie Coleman, our former outreach coordinator, has moved on to pursue a master’s degree in urban planning from UCLA. She is greatly missed here at the office, and I’m doing what I can as her successor.

Rebuilding Together is a nonprofit which provides free home repair and safety modification to low income homeowners and community facilities throughout San Francisco. We have two programs: our year-round home safety program, which provides simple safety modifications such as grab bars and smoke detectors in the homes of low-income homeowners and renters, and our Rebuilding Days, which happen the last Saturday of April and October. We are accepting applications now for October Rebuilding Day projects and are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers, especially groups interested in volunteering together and people with trades-skills (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc)

We’re hoping to get our October projects settled as soon as we can to give clients time to assess the full extent of repair they would like to see in our home. I’ve included a multi-lingual client flier and application to this email. We have the application available in both Spanish and Chinese as well.

If you’ve already received an email like this from me in the past month, please let me know so I can sort out my contacts.

Thanks! And looking forward to hearing from you! Let me know if there’s a way we can partner to better serve the community we do!
