Rosa Parks chickens join a great workday!
A great turnout for our Rosa Parks Workday on Saturday, April 27, 2013.   Over forty volunteers from Starbucks joined many parents and friends of  the garden to do spring gardening and cleaning.  Another highlight of  the day was placing tiles on the growing caterpillar that graces the  wall around the Lower Garden.  These tiles were created by parents and  friends as a fundraising venture!  Check out photos from the day here.

UC Berkeley Partners with CommunityGrows

UCB-TeamThe UC Berkeley IABC (International Association of Business  Communicators), selected CommunityGrows as their group project this  spring to assist us with our Communications Plan.  A group of six women,  all students at UC Berkeley, spent weeks researching the best ways for  CommunityGrows to strengthen our outreach, both in social media,  corporate partnerships, and talent management.  Staci Ja Yoon Heo and  Camila Zattar led a team composed of Andrea Shen, Diana Luo, Stephanie  Jang and Mei Ling Hui. The team met with our Advisory Board and  presented us with two deliverables, which we hope to study and implement  in the next few months. Thank you for the great work. We are excited  about the possibilities and continued collaboration!
