9704 Employment & Training Specialist III

We are seeking a self motivated Employment & Training Specialist III to mentor, monitor and evaluate SFO internship programs in our Employment, Community & Partnership office. Duties include: managing a case load of 30-50 interns; monitoring and evaluating their performance; writing progress reports, maintaining personnel files and intern database; identifying resources and organizations that interns can use to stay successful; meeting with all levels of the airport who directly work with interns; meeting with partnering community based organizations, and update web, intranet, and social media websites related to internships and perform other related duties.

 

The ideal candidate will meet the minimum qualifications (see official job announcement), and  have strong knowledge of employment, housing, health, childcare, and educational resources for youth in the San Francisco Bay Area; 1-2 years experience providing career counseling, evaluating at-risk youths in a work setting, and making referrals to social service agencies.

1-2 years experience working with young adults from a diverse background, education and skill level and experience with developing career goals and foster personal development for at- risk and foster youth.
