SEO Scholars is a rigorous year-round, out-of-school academic program that prepares motivated low-income public high school students to get to and through college. The program serves over 400 high school students annually in New York and San Francisco and is focused on helping public school students from underrepresented communities get into and succeed at competitive four-year colleges. With a rigorous academic and leadership-development curriculum on Saturdays, after school and over the summer, SEO Scholars participate in more than 700 additional hours of instructional time over four years of high school.

SEO has been working in New York City for the past 40 years and that success inspired us to expand to San Francisco last year and recruit our very first class of 9th grade Scholars in the Bay Area!  SEO is now recruiting for our second class and I would love to come by and talk for a few minutes to you about spreading the word about  the SEO program and provide information to youth and their families about this great opportunity.

To be an SEO Scholar, a candidate must:

o    one (1) weekday 2 hour session each week, three (3) Saturdays a month, and three (3) weeks during each summer break
