SAN FRANCISCO-September 29th, 2012 -The Vintage Couture Ball on The Fillmore will transform San Francisco’s Fillmore District into a hip trip back in time.The event will feature a tribute to immigrants from China, Japan, Latin America and the Philippines for their participation and contributions in the  American Jazz Period from 1915 through the 1950s. The event, spanning three blocks at five venues on Fillmore Street, offers live performances at the Fillmore Center Plaza, Yoshi’s Lounge, Rasselas Jazz Club, Sheba Piano Lounge, and Bruno’s Pizzeria Cucina, plus an art display by Jerry Ross Barrish at Lush Life Gallery.

The Vintage Couture Ball kicks off with free dance lessons, performances, and a concert at the Fillmore Center Plaza,1475 Fillmore Street. From 7:30 pm to 10 pm, dance to the music of Mari and the Monitors, and watch performances by the dance troupes, Double or Nothing and The Hot Bloods. To get you in the groove, there will be free dance lessons taught from 7:30 to 8pm. followed by the featured band and Deejay. For all-access ticket holders, the evening continues at featured venues until 1:30 am.
