SAN FRANCISCO – 14 Black Poppies announces the launch of its magazine, the Cocoon issue, at its first anniversary party on Sunday September 9th, from 3 to 6pm at Progressive Grounds, 2301 Bryant Street.
Join Jason Wyman, Margaret Bacon Schulze and the Artists and Healers Network in celebrating 14 Black Poppies’ first year of offering community arts and wellness to all. In addition to the release of 14 Black Poppies Magazine, the afternoon will feature live music, literary readings, and other performances. There will also be raffle prizes by local artists including crocheted tote bags, handmade earrings, and a 30-minute Theta Healing session by Jimena Quiroga Hopkins.
14 Black Poppies was founded by Jason Wyman and Margaret Bacon Schulze in June 2011 in an effort to bring arts, wellness, and community together in formats that honor intergenerational, intercultural, and interfaith learning and experiences. 14 Black Poppies offers a variety of customizable staff, community, and personal development services to businesses, non-profits, and individuals throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
