There are two levels of awards:
The program targets to award up to 10 scholarships of up to $30,000. Awards are renewable up to four additional years or until a certificate, associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance.
All remaining awards will be $2,500 each. The $2,500 awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
Be a minimum of 16 years of age and be a high school senior or graduate, have received GED certification or be a current postsecondary undergraduate student.
Live within the PG&E Service Area
Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire 2012-2013 academic year.
NOTE: Nontraditional students who are returning to school or planning to pursue a postsecondary education for the first time are eligible and encouraged to apply.
