The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District, or BART, recently
created the Office of the Independent Police Auditor (OIPA) and the
Citizen Review Board (CRB) to provide effective, independent
oversight of the BART Police Department.  One of the cornerstones of
effective oversight is community input and engagement.

To that end, OIPA and CRB are hosting a series of community forums
around the Bay Area.

The next one will be:
Tuesday, January 29, 2013
San Francisco Main Library
100 Larkin Street, 1st Floor Lower Level
San Francisco, CA  94102

Refreshments will be served.  Please see the attached flyer for
additional information.

The purpose of these forums is to inform the public about the system
of civilian oversight of the BART Police Department and to let
people know how the oversight process can be of service to them.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and we hope you will join us.
