Intergenerational Program Team Leaders
Community Technology Network (CTN) is seeking 5 energetic, visionary team leaders ages 18-24 work with our exciting new Intergenerational Program.
The Program will match tech savvy youth (16+) with seniors (60+) in San Francisco who are learning new computer skills at one of the Senior Centers participating in the Broadband Technology Opportunity Program, a federally funded initiative which is being managed by the San Francisco City and County Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS). The project aims to provide digital literacy training for seniors and develop leadership skills in youth. The Intergenerational Team Leaders will mentor a small group of high school students, who will be teaching basic computer skills classes to seniors at computer labs throughout San Francisco. All candidates should be computer savvy with PCs and have a passion for working with seniors and youth. Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required. All work must be completed between 9am-5pm and/or Saturday mornings depending on placement site. College students may also be eligible for service hour credit.
Begins: February 2011 (date to be agreed with successful applicant)
Contract ends: July 2012 (longer if refunded)
