CSCi 2012 Community School Forum is January 19, 2012 from 8:30-2:30pm in Oakland. The theme is Full Service Community Schools: A Collective Impact Approach for Educational Reform. How Kids Learn Afterschool Conference on January 27, 2012 from 9:00-4:30pm in Berkeley. The Learning in Afterschool Project will hold a TED-like conference to inform and energize OST program leaders, educators, afterschool stakeholders, and policymakers about our current knowledge on how children learn, and to share innovative approaches to promoting learning outside of the classroom. Bridging the Bay Afterschool Conference on January 28, 2012 from 9:00-4:00pm in San Francisco. The Region 4 After School Programs Office brings you their 3rd annual afterschool conference, packed full of workshops, exhibitors and performance. Topics will range from school day alignment and family literacy, to STEM, supporting English Learners, and nutrition, plus sessions on Staff and Grant Management, Sustainability, and more. California School Health Centers statewide conference on March 12-13, 2012 in Sacramento. The conference, Vision & Voice for Healthy Students, will include workshops on starting a SBHC, improving attendance, oral health, mental health, partnership with school nurse, youth-led research, and more. Coalition for Community Schools National Forum on May 16-18, 2012 in San Francisco. This is the first time that the national event will be held in California, and the Coalition is expecting over 1,500 Community School practitioners! Cost ranges from $345-555/person.
