Up-Cycle Your Jewlery

In this workshop, learn basic jewelry techniques, tool handling, stringing, wire- wrapping, forging, and composition. Students are encouraged to bring old jewelry, found objects, or thrift-store ﬁnds to up-cycle into a new ring, necklace or pendant. We will start with the basics, work with wire to form a simple ring, and then evolve into personal creations.
About the Instructor:
Josie Adele has been an entrepreneur jewelry designer since 2004 and uses recycled elements and local production in her work. She has a degree from Colorado State University and completed the Sustainable Design Program at the University of California Berkeley Extension. She develops eco-efﬁcient products from recycled metals and other materials and views it as a beautiful and rewarding challenge to up-cycle waste into something of value, which will be appreciated for years to come.
