Music and nature is one and the same. Explore the signiﬁcance of traditional instruments of Native American cultures and their connection to the natural world. Then, enjoy a hip hop workshop in audio production. Participants will learn how to sample, edit audio and add electronic instrumentation to a collective song.
About the Instructor:
Ras K’dee is a musician, producer and lead vocalist of Audiopharmacy. He also works extensively in the community and with youth. Previously, he worked in the youth services department at the Native American Health Center in Oakland. In 2002, he co-founded SNAG and continues to direct this organization that provides a holistic approach that combines spirituality, tradition and multi-media skills to shape the next generation of Native leaders.
