“Partnerships for Success: Growing a Competitive Workforce System”

OEWD – Workforce Division is convening a forum for key strategic partners of the San Francisco workforce development system. This exciting event is designed to bring together:

§ Community-based organizations and other service providers
§ Education institutions
§ Funders
§ Government agencies
§ Elected officials and Policy body representatives
§ Business and industry representatives
§ Organized labor representative

Together we will explore local, state, and national workforce development strategies. Our goal is to engage key partners in a strategic dialogue on working together to build a more competitive workforce development system for San Francisco.

At this event, direct service staff, management, and leadership of workforce organizations will have the opportunity to:

§ Gain valuable insights and new perspectives on workforce development strategies
§ Learn new and innovative ways to partner with various system stakeholders
§ Develop strategies to build your organization’s capacity
§ Strengthen programs and practices for serving employer and jobseeker customers

1:00 – 2:30pm         Opening Plenary: “Partnerships for Success: Growing a Competitive Workforce System”. A panel of notable speakers will discuss their insights on what it will take to build effective partnerships that ensure a competitive workforce system in San Francisco. You won’t want to miss what is sure to be a powerful discussion that sets the framework for the entire Forum.
2:45 – 4:15pm         First Workshop Sessions (See SNEAK PEEK below)
4:30 – 6:30pm         Cocktails & Connections–A Networking Happy Hour Don’t miss this opportunity to rub elbows and talk shop with other                                 workforce development aficionados.
