· Are you a San Francisco resident with valid authorization
to work in the U.S.?
· Are you 18 or older with a High School Diploma or GED and
a valid driver’s license?
· Are you low-income, laid-off, unemployed, or
underemployed?
Then you can get started on your new career as an Emergency Medical
Technician (EMT)!
The Health Care Academy is offering a short-term, intensive Emergency
Medical Technician (EMT) training program from June 1 to August 12.
Tuition and most expenses will be covered by the Academy with minimal
costs to participants. Learn the skills you need for an exciting and
life-saving career, such as:
· Life Support Skills: cardiac, respiratory, and medical
emergencies
· Traumatic and Environmental Injuries
· Obstetrical and Pediatric Emergency Care
· CPR training
· Preparation for National Certification
To get started, you must attend a 3-hour orientation session:

The Health Care Academy is offered by the San Francisco Office of Economic
and Workforce Development (OEWD) in partnership with local community-based
organizations JVS, Arriba Juntos, Bay Area Medical Academy (BAMA), and
City College of San Francisco (CCSF).
